Description
Named after the world's oldest living city. The Damascus is Bagulia's most serious bag: a travel bag cut from Italian oil-waxed, vegetable-tanned full-grain cowhide a full 5 mm thick, where most bags use barely 1 mm over a body of high-density woven cotton canvas. Solid brass hardware. A wide, detachable vegetable-tanned leather shoulder strap. Almost entirely handmade.
Vegetable-tanned leather is left nearly raw, so it lives: it darkens, takes on shine where your hands rest, and slowly becomes a bag only you could own. The patina isn't wear — it's the point.
